An insider telling CNN that AI could kill all humans by 2030 is not a reason to freeze American research. It is a reason to treat frontier systems as a national-security problem, not a branding exercise.
We reject both “stop AI” and “regulate nothing.” Falling behind is not a safety strategy. Blind acceleration is not leadership. Consequential systems require evaluation, biosecurity, cybersecurity, and meaningful human accountability before they are too capable to walk back.
